07:00: Arrive at Ninh Kieu Wharf. The tour guide will assist you in boarding the boat for a journey to Cai Rang Floating Market. This famous attraction is not only popular among locals but also a must-visit destination for travelers exploring Can Tho.

Established in the early 20th century, Cái Răng Floating Market is where local people of the Mekong Delta gather to trade and exchange goods, especially regional specialties from the Mekong Delta.

Located at the confluence of the Hau River and Cai Rang River, the floating market benefits from its convenient shallow-water location, making it ideal for boats to anchor and trade. Over time, more and more boats gathered here, creating the lively and bustling floating market seen today.

In 2016, Cai Rang Floating Market was officially recognized as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage of Vietnam, becoming a great source of pride for the people of the Mekong Delta.

Cruising along the peaceful Can Tho River, the boat will take everyone on a relaxing 30-minute journey along the waterways. During the trip, everyone can admire the beautiful sunrise over the poetic river scenery.

07:30: Arrive at Cai Rang Floating Market. Here, everyone will have the opportunity to explore and experience the unique charm of this famous floating market. The lively and cheerful atmosphere creates wonderful moments of fun and relaxation.

In addition, the local people are extremely friendly, so while shopping or enjoying food on the boats, you may also hear interesting everyday stories about the lives of people in the Mekong Delta river region.

With the wide variety of goods traded at Cái Răng Floating Market, trading on the Can Tho River once faced many challenges due to the market’s large area, where engine sounds and people’s voices often drowned out vendors’ calls. As a result, the unique “4 Hanging Signs” tradition was created to help buyers and sellers easily identify what each boat was selling.

The meaning of the “4 Hanging Signs” includes:

Hang what you sell: Vendors hang the products they sell on a tall bamboo pole (cây bẹo) so that nearby boats can easily recognize their goods.

Hang but not for sale: Clothes hanging on the boats belong to families living on the boats and are not items for sale.

Not hanging but still selling: Food boats serving dishes and drinks such as noodles, coffee, and Vietnamese sandwiches usually do not hang any products.

Hang one thing but sell another: When a boat owner wants to sell their boat, they hang a palm or roofing leaf on the bamboo pole as a special sign.

You will enjoy breakfast right at the floating market with local specialties such as a hot bowl of hủ tiếu, crab noodle soup (bún riêu cua), or pork organ porridge (cháo lòng).

08:00: The boat will leave the floating market and take everyone to a traditional noodle workshop to learn about the process of making traditional hủ tiếu.

This place is also famous for its unique “Hu Tieu Pizza,” made from crispy fried noodle sheets. After simple preparation steps such as seasoning the noodles, frying them until golden, and adding toppings like ham based on personal preference, everyone can enjoy this delicious and crunchy specialty at their own expense.

08:30: Return to Ninh Kieu Wharf. Afterwards, we will transfer everyone to the pier for the journey to Con Son.

09:00: Arrive at the pier and board the boat to Cồn Sơn, a small islet located on the peaceful Hau River between Can Tho and Vinh Long, home to fewer than 100 households. Covering nearly 70 hectares of fertile land enriched by alluvial soil year-round, the islet is blessed with lush fruit orchards, sweet tropical fruits, and a diverse ecosystem that reflects the authentic charm of Southern Vietnam.

Coming here feels like stepping into a peaceful countryside village, surrounded by fresh air and rustic beauty. You will also have the chance to meet the friendly, honest, and hospitable local residents, creating a warm and welcoming experience.

The motorboat will take everyone along the peaceful Hau River, beginning an exciting journey to explore the Con Son community eco-tourism village, a destination filled with unique and memorable experiences.

First, the boat will take us to visit the fish rafts on the Hau River. More than 30 large and small floating fish farms stretch nearly one kilometer along the river, creating an impressive sight on the waters of the Mekong Delta. Many species of fish are raised here, such as basa fish, spotted eel-catfish, giant barb fish, and especially the pearl knifefish, which is the main specialty of the area

Continue admiring thousands of colorful Koi fish and experience the unique and relaxing Koi fish massage activity. Afterward, everyone will enjoy the local specialty of grilled pearl knifefish cake (Chả Cá Thác Lác Cườm).

- The boat will continue take us to Con Son. Here, everyone will be warmly welcomed by the hospitable locals with a special homemade herbal drink prepared from breadfruit leaves or butterfly pea flowers picked from their garden.

- Visit lush fruit gardens filled with rambutan, longan, pomelo, mangosteen, guava, and many other tropical fruits. Here, everyone can personally pick ripe fruits directly from the trees and enjoy them fresh right in the garden.

Then experience crossing the traditional “monkey bridge,” a narrow and swaying bamboo bridge that is a unique symbol of the Mekong Delta countryside.

- Continue strolling through the peaceful countryside surroundings and enjoy the fresh, relaxing atmosphere in the heart of the Hau River area.

- You will have the chance to watch the unique performance of snakehead fish leaping above the water — a fascinating and impressive sight. Afterwards, continue visiting the guava garden and enjoy fresh guavas picked directly from the trees.

NOON:

12:00: Enjoy lunch at Con Son Community Tourism Village, featuring local specialties rich in the flavors of the Mekong Delta.

AFTERNOON:

14:00: Visit the Purple House film studio – a highlight attraction featuring a dominant purple theme and many creative photo spots for check-in (entrance fee at personal expense).

15:30: Depart back to Ho Chi Minh City.
